‘Where the nature of things can be understood and things can be related to their nature.’

The years which have lead up to my work today, have been mainly about exploring and relating to my surrounding context. Bringing quite some travel experience, a variety of jobs and a wonderful network of people.

Knitting has accompanied me throughout more than two decades. It has allowed me to explore colour and create inner peace as i was knitting on planes, trains, buses, parks, and beaches. Hand knitting, machine knitting, finger knitting. As daily life has been settling into Portugal these past few years, different possibilities are opening up.

In my upcoming project ‘Full colour’ I will make jumpers with local Portuguese wool appreciating each garment in its totality - meaning that artist, material and context are equally highlighted.
