Biography:
Born in Boston and growing up in a Belgian-American household in the province of Antwerp, Anna developed an intricate interest in the way fashion design and crafts meet psychology and anatomy. After learning how to knit as a child she never stopped and has explored hand knitting, machine knitting and finger knitting as she traveled and explored.
Graduated in Social Entrepreneurship from YIP, Sweden and Machine-Knitting from Knit-1 Design Academy England. Anna has worked with Ma Té Sai a social enterprise supporting rural communities in Laos. When she moved back to Antwerp she wove the woven pieces in one of the collections of fashion designer Jan-Jan Van Essche during her internship. Since 2017 she has been working in Portugal where she moved with her family. There she participated in a creative entrepreneurship program that connects rural areas through creative practices and is now working from her individual studio in the artist collective Ateneu do Catorze. She integrates an artistic residency into her annual planning to have time to explore new content or develop her skills
Knitwear:
Anna makes and sells original knitwear made with local materials. Each year her collections have different themes reflecting her inner and outer surrounding. You can sign up to her newsletter to stay informed about her collections and can find what is in stock in her shop.

Laura loves sketching people she loves and places she travels to. From a young age, she enjoys making small books - about those beautiful memories - and shares them. When she stops drawing, her focus goes to visual communication and graphic design to help small brands come about.
