Below you will find knitting made in 2023 - last pieces from a pop up collaboration with ´Somewhere a Process´ shop in Lisbon, natural dyeing research with Tine Colen in Antwerp, shawl prototypes for next winter and indigo pieces made in my studio in Alentejo.

Description:

'Somewhere a process' invited me to collaborate in their shop in Lisbon in January. It’s a small shop filled with beaituful treasures that were put together by the talented Sonya.


H A T S

- handknit with 100% soft and bulky yarn while I was keeping the pop up store open in Lisbon.

S T A N D A R D S C A R F

Description:

The scarves in this collection are made on a manual knitting machine in a ribbed stitch with leftover yarns. The main yarn is 100% wool mixed with a finer cotton yarn creating the uneven color effect.

length +/-180cm - width +/-35cm, stretches to 55cm

Price:

Standard scarf 75 euro now 60 euro.

Lemon yellow set: 45 euro

Summertime

Raw wool dyed with rhubarb root by Tine. Rhubarb root gives color and serves as a mordant at the same time.

starting from the left: #1 black with different color stripes (100% Portuguese merino wool) / #2 poppy red & camomile (wool & cotton) SOLD / #3 naturally dyed with rhubarb root and fine black yarn (wool & cotton) / #4 natural white (100% Portuguese merino wool) / #5 bright blue with ochre bottom & purple (wool &cotton) SOLD

#6 longer standard scarf with a matching crochet purse in lemon yellow (100% cotton) testing a new cotton yarn. Small irregularities in the knitting.

W O O L E N S H A W L

Description:

On cold days I like to wear many layers, one of my favorite final layers is a woolen blanket to wrap around my torso, wear around my shoulders to step outside or use as a hood when riding my bike. The pieces below are prototypes in preparation for a new shawl for Winter 2024.

The width of the shawl is the widest size i can get on my knitting machine and is knit with 100% Portuguese merino yarn.

Price: 120 euro (still to be confirmed) now 75 euro.

A shawl can be used in so many ways, here it is modeled to be used as a hood, a perfect way to always be prepared for changing weather when you ride your bike - for example.

Description:

The below pieces were made and are now available to be made use of;

The cotton panels can be used as decoration on a wall or as fabric for a creative project for someone who like to sew. They are dyed with indigo using 'arashi shibori' technique.
